I have no idea how turkeys are scored, but google yielded the following as the Alabama state record:

Andrew, tell your friend to send the following information to the National Turkey Federation or the Fish and Game Department;
1. Turkey’s live weight
2. Turkey’s beard length
3. Turkey’s spur length
4. A photo of the turkey next to the hunter.
They combine the tom’s weight, the beard length times two and the total length of both spurs times two for your grand total score.
I think they will mail you a big tom turkey arm patch and a nice certificate.
New Jersey Fish and Game gave me a nice bear arm patch
two years ago.
