Pumpkin, corn, blackeye peas and alfalfa are good deer draws.

Think pumpkin would be healthier than corn.

Deer do eat pumpkins. They are in fact one of their favorite foods. To increase the likelihood of them feeding on the fruits, ensure there are no other foods in the area. You may also consider opening up the pumpkins to make it easy for them. Source: https://workhabor.com/do-deer-eat-pumpkins/

I put five pumpkins in my field because I wanted to decorate for Christmas. All five were gone within two days. I did see a deer eating one, so I assume they ate them all. They were big pumpkins, so it had to be the deer.

I put our pumpkins and the deer eat them. It works better if you smack them on the ground and break them open. We also have bear and I suspect that they ate some of them too.

I have heard both answers on this one. I would think they would, I know they love the flowers on squash plants and small pumpkins and squash. Had to chase them out of the garden before!

I have seen tons of deer in a field full of pumpkins up-state. but they didn't touch the ones I put out at the feeder last year. Corn usually works.

Break it open for them and they'll eat it up. I think that corn works better, plus you can spread it around and they have to search for it.
