People want to take our guns away because they are ignorant and too stupid to know that guns don't kill people or violence would be arealitively modern thing. The media misleads and lies to people. If people realized that most murderors use knives anyway they might also realize that even if guns were totally banned criminals would still get firearms. If it was illegal to have guns infact, only the criminals would have guns, so they could do whatever they wanted to do and the crime rate would instantly rise like in Europe. The worst reason they want to take our guns away is they are liberals, socialist, and pussies who want the government to run everything, creating a total police state where the government can do anything they want to do without any resistance. Hitler and Stalin did the exact same thing in the 1930's & 40's. Remember that thing caled WWII? In Red Dawn, the Cubins do the same thing to Americans, and that is what happened in Iran and Iraq. I do not think there have been very many instances in the history of this world that a country hasn't been conquered without any form of banning weapons. I think if we had better teachers in our schools, people might learn something about our government and Constitional Rights (especially the first and second ones.) The main thing that pisses me people say that they don't care about their government and think it is pointless to try to do anything about it. Like a great man once said, "...united we stand, divided we fall." You can do something about banning guns. You can just write a letter to your state representatives or senators ,and tell them they need to get wise and do something about gun controll- to enialate it. If you haven't joined the NRA already, you should at find out how at www.nra.org.

I was just thinking about this issue this morning. I honestly think it's a left-wing goal, and it deals with quashing dissent. It almost seems to me that unpopular politicians whose political views are objectionable tend to be hardline anti-gun folks. Live free or die. I went to Iraq and when I came back I was more sensitive about my personal liberty than ever. Live free or die.

I don't think that lawmakers see the bigger picture here. When you make it a law against gun ownership, all that does is create a black market for them. Every law-abiding, tax-paying citizen in this country should own a firearm. It's in the Constitution, the people are responsible for the safety of our country. I don't feel 100% comfortable putting the safety of me, my family and loved ones in the hands of the law enforcement in this day and age.

I don't think any one wants to take away your rights, they want to take away your guns, and i think it is out of fear and ignorance. But that's just my opinion.
