Aw heck! Another wet Saturday is approaching S-E PA. Is it really worth going out in it, or should I just wait for rifle season? I sat out last weekend: should I man up and take my daughter out in the rain for two or three hours for the junior hunt?

A pop-up ground blind can make a rainy day bearable. At least you'll be out of the rain.

When time allows and the season is open don't waste the days. We all only have just so many days to hunt in our life.
Your daughter let her make her choice. You can kill a kids desire to hunt if pushed to hard to early and they aren't having fun.

If you have to man up... it might not be a great time to take your daughter out. the last thing you want is for her to be miserable!!! but if shes a tough lil lady and enjoys hunting alot already then go for it. Just make shure that she has a great time... after all its not you hunting its her.

Ya deff ivery kid looks forward to that day when there the only one with a gun you should deff take her out and hunt, no matter what the weather she will have fun.

I bought a $50 ground blind for hunting in the rain. It's a little tight for a bow but would be great for rifle hunting.

Yes, and do consider a ground blind. Makes it much more comfy for the kids ... and you.

You may want to reconsider taking your daughter out in the rain. If it isn't enjoyable and fun,she may turn against hunting and then, you will have to drag her,even on a beautiful day ...

Up in NE,PA it will also be wt, but Im going out anyway,because saturdays, and maybe friday nights, are my only chances to hunt.

I have a two popups and my Grandson as long I can keep him warm and dry, were ok.

Last year he said nothing moves in the rain and I told him he is wrong. So I swooped him over to the Buffalo National River in Arkansas and counted over 50 Elk. He would not believe there was Elk in Arkansas! Should have seen that Boys face, WOW!
