We just buy probably 25 or so shots and when we use them, we restock them with our supply of shot. Of course it took a while to stock up on that lead shot.

for hunting I use store bought I have handloaded a lot of pistol and shotgun but I am just not comfortable on my rifle loads to humanely put down big game. My uncle does 95% of his. I just don't have the cofidence when nosler loads the same bullets that I would load. A Barnes TSX or Nosler ballistic tips.

I've used both and I get a little better consistant accuracy with my hand loads from my rifle but since I don't shoot nearly as much as I used to I started just shooting store bought in rifle, hand gun and shotgun. As long as I'm putting three round in side two inces at 100 yards I'm happy with my rifle. I do more bow hunting than rifle hunting any more.

I roll my own for all rifle and handgun hunting. They are taylored to the gun and for the game being hunted. Mostly use factory in the shotguns "cause can;t make fancy turkey and waterfowl loads at home.

BTW I trusted my handloads in AK for bears and everything else and they never failed me. I do always cycle them through the gun before hunting and use new or once fired brass.

I do all my rifle loads because I get better loads. I don't do loads for my handguns because I don't have a progressive press.

I use store bought Winchest Ballistic Tip bullets because I don't have a press or anything for rifle bullets or shotgun shells.

I shoot almost all reloaded rifle shells. I don't load pistol or shotgun shells. I probably have not shot over 25 factory rifle shells in the last 25 years. I get tremendous enjoyment from loading my own rifle shells.
