Lots. Rifle's and shotguns. None with a bow (yet).

I use my .243 for longer shots and my 12 gauge with a turkey choke and buck shot for closer shots.

I've seen a handful thru the windshield but only one with gun in hand, on a deer drive. Trying to hit that thing with a bullet would have been something akin to trying to hit a jet plane with an arrow, I didn't even try. My son killed one several years ago with a 7mm Remington magnum, huge hole thru the boiler room and it still ran another 15-20 yards. They must be tough.

I've killed them with a 6.5MM Italian Carcano, a .223, a 25-06, a .270, a 12 guage with #4 buck and with #4 birdshot (very close). I have shot but not killed a couple with a .22 long rifle 40 years ago... I would never do it again because they are too tough... chest shots don't even slow them down and certainly don't kill them cleanly. I respect them too much to shoot at them with a .22. By the way, the #4 birdshot was at 6 yards to the back of the head and he died instantly.

.22 it does the job without too much overkill as long as your confident in a well placed shot

Because guns never wear out, the manufacturers need a reason for customers to buy new guns, and new cartridges serve that need.
