    40 yard shot, ran 350 yards and died. hit was a touch low and back.

      That looks like a pump shotgun you have there.
      It's a good thing the range was under 50 yards.

                Last one of the season. I am done. 5 deer is plenty and there is lots more birds and small game to hunt till the end of winter.

                              Congrats on your hunting year and the success you have enjoyed! Love the idea you are using a 20 ga. Just goes to show that 20 ga shotguns have just as much versatility as a 12 ga and kicks a lot less. Good hunting for whatever else you go for this year.
