(besides the NRA) I think it depends on what you like to hunt or fish. There is just about a group out there for every type of species. Ask yourself what you like to do the most and put your membership money towards that. There are tons of good organizations out there (Pheasants forever, whitetails unlimited, etc.) that do lots of good for the sport. The question that I like to ask is how much goes to overhead in the organization. Anything over 20% is too much.

I see the NRA doing the most for gun rights, but it seems the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance is doing the most for hunting and trapping.

I think the NRA is #1 without a doubt.

NRA wins hands down. They have been protecting our shooting right for as long as I can recall. If you enjoy firearms and shooting sports there is no logical reason not to belong to the NRA.

I only attach a bipod for sight-in and load development at the range. And that's relatively new for me. Previously I've just used sandbags. The bipod...

I've seen bipods on hunting rifles, but always considered them nonessential and cumbersome ... until I started building AR's.

We have concrete benches at our range and I usually just shoot at 100 yards. May fling a bullet at 200 to check the Nikon Prostaff 5 BDC marks. It's...

If you do hunt high up check out the Weatherby Bsckcountry line. The Mark V is the Cadillac and is still reasonable at around $2500. I have two but have...
