A friend shot what is believed to be the widest buck ever harvested in Maine. It was right around 30" on it's inside spread. Here I am 2200 miles away and unsure on details. Im going to try and get permission to post the couple of pics I've gotten this far. What a monster and taken by a good young guy. He shot it out of one of his hunting mentors treestands and they say it was a virtually unknown buck, having been seen only a couple of times over it's life. Any stories similar about taking an unknown trophy? Or maybe out of someone elses stand with permission of course?

      PHW,
Go to Outdoor Life and see the giant 350lb buck shot 25 miles from New York City. Kinda like a Maine deer that got lost.
