I've been considering seriously getting into duck hunting for a while now. I recently drew a very highly sought after permit, i've got steel shot, a shotgun, and decoys all rigged up. before i just went in a sweat shirt and jeans. Several times i knew my clothes spooked the animals. Now with this tag i'm thinking i need real cammo. only problem is my email routed the tag email into my spam folder. So i have until this weekend. My town doesn't have any good sporting good stores any suggestion of surplus camo that will fit the bill we have lots of surplus stores.

At this point, "anything is better than nothing"!
      Forget specific patterns!
Heaven help I never wore camo until I was nearly 30 and I killed all kinds of game!
Any surplus military camo will help break up you shape. That's all that's necessary.

I've even smeared mud on my cheeks and forehead to break the "shine".
        Where there's a will, there's a way!

I'm glad you did too 357- Camo is important, but keeping still and quiet is more important. Keep your outline broken up. Good luck, let us know how you hunt goes!!

Blue jeans are always bad news. Birds see blue brighter than we do. White is about as poor a choice until snow arrives.

Tan or brown canvas work duds will work. Walmart carries Dickies brand at affordable prices. A good camo cap is important. Also look for them at Walmart.

Don't forget to conceal any 'shine' on your gun. Chaps or tape are a couple ways to go.

They have to have ghillie suits.
