I am freezing sweet corn. Will deer eat the pile of cobs, silk, and husk, or do they just like the kernels?

It depends on where you are located. In the Midwest, deer have access to hundreds of tons of cornstalks and cobs and still don't eat them. They prefer the corn just like we do and the left over won't do much for them. In the Eastern U.S. and mountain states, they live in a salad bowl and your offering will look pretty pathetic. Now if you are located in Death Valley and they haven't seen anything green in two months, they might take a look before they seek other nourishment.

Don't know if they'll eat it cbhunter, but I'd lay good money the odor would attract them!
If you're wanting to "hunt" over it, I guess just freeze it in a garbage bag.
If you just want to "feed" it to them, I'd toss it a good way from the house! You know how badly it attracts flies!
    Interesting experiment!

Buy deer corn from a Feed store or W*M has it most of the year or you can buy deer corn on the cob in bags.
