What is the best state to hunt and fish

  • #2
    Simple, The state of preparedness.

I live on the Alabama coast and fishing is the sport that I mainly focus on. The fact that both Mississippi coasts and north west Florida coasts are within my range puts me in the center of some excellent gulf coast and tidewater fishing.

FirstBubba beat my to it, Alaska.

Second place would go to any Rocky Mountain State.

              Washington for waterfowl.

              Florida for fish.

              Any Southern State for Doves.

The State you are in at the time.

The main thing is to get out and make the best of it that you can.

I'd have to say Alaska or California on this one. In California you can get a massive amount of big game, and you have the versatility of cold water fishing up north or fishing into Baja and catching Roosterfish and tons of tuna and some sailfish too. And as far as Alaska....everyone knows what's there! I could see myself retiring between alaska/ southern california. Cheers

Good article on pressure testing. It takes about 40 hours to test for one caliber and bullet weight with about 16 types of powder.
