Hey Deer30, where in Maryland do you hunt? Do you know of any leases or farms or whatever that would be open to a bowhunter? I have been looking for a place to hunt in my home state for 3 years, and have not been granted permission to a property yet. Thanks, Jack

I would love to tell you where I hunt. Its by that place with the big tree and old barn. you know, right around the curve from the Smith place.
What I can tell you is be persistent and don't be afraid to knock door to door. I hunt Region B, primarily on a farm I grew up hunting on and have remained on for the last 20 yrs. But I have recently acquired a new 80 acre piece adjoining the previous farm. I always assumed someone else hunted it because I had seen orange jackets over there before. As it turned out, the owner just wore orange when working outside so he wasn't mistaken for a deer. One of our team members shot a doe and tracked her onto his land last season. We ran in to him during the recovery, got to talking, and he is the nicest dude in the world and flat out offered us the opportunity to continue hunting on him in the future. You just never know until you ask.
