What concentration of permethrin do you use when you treat your clothes? I am looking at buying .5% in a spray bottle but not sure if .5% is strong enough.

I soak mine really well, then let them hang on the line over night. Sporting goods stores seem to only carry the spray. I feel the soak you can purchase by mail is the most efficient, less time consuming, and doe a better Job. If you can not find it give me a jingle or call my secretary if I am not around. She us used to this type of enquiry..m kindest Regards

I think this would be strong enough but you may have to experiment. It was explained to me that Permethrin basically kills the pest rather than repelling it like deet and other insect repellents. In my opinion, I do not like to use either deet or permethrin unless I have to (like when I have to enter a site where I encountered chiggers in the past) as I feel that the health consequences of long term exposure have not been adequately studied for either of these products.
