Has anyone ever hunted Cohutta wma in NW Georgia. I live about 10 minutes from it as the crow flies. I've hiked and fished there but never hunted it. I've saw big deer, bears and huge hogs come out of there.

No, I have not. But I have hunted the Redlands WMA. Plenty of high pressured turkeys and squirrel, but in my experience there are not many mature deer and the others wouldn't field dress more than 80-100lbs. Fun to hunt, but keep your expectations in check.

I've hunted it a couple times. I like it but have not had success there. It has been archery only and consequently there are deer. The cover is very thick and they have lots of dense canyons to hide in. If you have time to scout well, I think you could do fine. The cover is so thick they pretty much have to stay on trails to get around. I jumped half a dozen on the upper side of a canyon and they were very small. Lots of turkeys all over and good bear sign too. It's far enough from me that I just didn't get to scout it enough. I'd highly recommend it for you since you are so close.
