The San Juans in the southwest also have goo numbers.
But for many areas, it depends on the time of year and elevation. For example, the Craig area mentioned above has virtually no elk during bow seasons but is packed full during later rifle seasons.
Find a good realtor and tell them what you want. There are going to be huge variations depending on exactly what you are looking for.
