There is a local reservoir in my town with a large Wild Turkey population. Can't hunt therer but I plan on going out and practicing calls this weekend. Any reason the reactions would differ other than being more aclimated to humans?

I don't know how this ended up here, thought it was being asked in the bird hunting area. Sorry

I don't call it a bad spot for the question. Keep in mind, if you've had the idea to talk turkey with this flock then others may have as well. One of the hardest areas to hunt gobblers here in Maine is near a road. People always pull up to a flock, put their window down and tryn' "practice" talking to the birds, although not a bad thought to improve your calling, you can educate the birds, or find that others already have educated them for you. Good luck, and please, get out of the car before you start calling to them.

Yes and wear full camouflage and sit very still away from the road against a large tree if you can find one. They may not be as wary as hunted birds but turkeys are turkeys wherever you find them.
