I use Weaver bases and steel Burris Zee rings on all of my rifles and have never had one move. I used to use Leupold at one time but for some reason got away from them. I have been using the Burris steel Zee rings ever since they came out and have been very pleased with them.

Leopolds will serve you well. Any of those mentioned above will work fine. I tend to use the Warne rings on rifles that have lots of recoil like .300 Dakota and .375 H&H but all the above work great on a 30-06. Just be certain that you have firmly mounted base mounts. The full bridge mounts are more accurate but not necessary for most 30-06 hunting applications.
