GrandSlam, relax, get good grades in school and enjoy every trip to the woods. Alone or solo they will be the basis of a lot of memories, the pull of the trigger lasts only a millisecond.
On one trip i was in Michigan for deer rifle. I was set for a week but had enough provisions for 10days if we should snowed in. Lots of friends in camp and looking forward to a great week. Anyway, got a 10 pt buck 10 minutes after season opened.
I was thrilled but, the temp was rising and even with ice in the deer i knew it would not last as the temp was going even higher. So, on the third day i made the drive home - 10 pt buck in the back. I will never know the good times at camp i missed because i had to leave. Sure i got a nice wall hanger, but i would have given anything for more days in camp with friends. Enjoy your time in the woods and the time spent with hunting friends irregardless of the game you do or do not get.

Take up bow hunting, then like the rest of us when you don't get something you can blame it on the fact that you were bow hunting. Seriously though there is some strong primal mojo with a bow.

Try something different. Find new spots to hunt. Try a different tactic. Just don't quit.
