Just use a crossbow, its a solution looking for a problem in my opinion. It seems overly complicated for hunting purposes. Maybe target shooting but why?

Part of the challenge of hunting with a regular bow is in waiting for the right moment to draw without spooking the animal, and being able to hold the bow at full draw until you have the best shot opportunity. Those devices and crossbows eliminate the need for those skills, so they do make bowhunting somewhat easier. I’m not saying they are unfair or unethical, but they do change the game. You still have to get close enough to the animal for a clean shot, etc, so it’s not like they remove all the challenge from the sport. I’d say it’s up to the individual to decide how challenging they want their hunt to be. And of course some states limit the use of crossbows to rifle season.
