What kind of bullet is the best to use for a Marlin XL7 270.

I love the Hornady line of bullets and the chief diet for all my guns for hunting and competition. I have witnessed numerous Caribou in Alaska taken with a 270 with Hornady 130 grain soft points, all bang flops! For deer either a 130 or max weight 140 grain will do the job and give you back change!
