    Each gun is different, so shoot a few different loads and see what does best. Try Hornady custom ammo, great for the money. Also Federal premium is top notch. For deer in your .270 try 130gr. bullets.

      I love the Hornady line of bullets and the chief diet for all my guns for hunting and competition. I have witnessed numerous Caribou in Alaska taken with a 270 with Hornady 130 grain soft points, all bang flops! For deer either a 130 or max weight 140 grain will do the job and give you back change!

        Try 130 and 140 grain. A friend of mine has the older Marlin Model 7. The accuracy is awful with 130gr but very good with 140. Go figure.

          I use Federal Fusion 150's in mine. I have a Tikka T3 and I get very tight groups.
