what is a good scope for a marlin 30-30?

In my personal opinion, a 2 to 7 X 32 is a quick shooting scope. For a 30 30 you don't need anything else. See though mounts bring the center point of the scope way to high, Marlin says it them selves. Mount the scope as close to the barrel as possible, with a 2 to 7 you don't need see through sights. You would be amazed at how fast you can zero in on a running target with the scope on # 2 power. If you haven't tried it don't knock it, with see through mounts. In a fast situation, there's that 2 second delay. And that's all you need to loose a nice rack Buck on the run! I shot many Deer on the run with my 2 to 7, hit my mark!
