I only use my atv to get a deer out of the woods or to get my stand in and out.

Yes, we use it for getting deer out of the woods. Last year I shot 3 does in a ditch and we were able to get all the deer out in time to take an evening stand. Took alot less work.

During the season I only use it to get deer out of the woods. I use it a lot more off season setting up new stands and dragging trees.

Too many fences and uncrossable creeks where I hunt. We us my Cabela's game hauler. It will carry 2 large deer with ease and you can drag the deer under a fence lift the cart over and go again. BTW we feel the noise ans sight of an ATV takes away from the experience. You really need them in Alaska. Just about everyone had one back in the early 80's when they were uncommon in the lower 48.

It depends on where I'm at.

I think personally, they are too noisy. So I only use them if i absolutely have to. I mostly use an ATV do bring something in or out of the woods, but usually not during deer season. If I do use an ATV during deer season, because of distance issues, I just leave the ATV far enough away so that game will not be spooked when I enter the woods. But I mostly use an ATV during the off-season to get stuff set up and all.

it's illegal to use in Wisconsin unless you have a special license or for dragging deer out of the woods.
