Not unless you count the gun show or Hunters Extraveganza. I have not seen any others advertised.

It depends on where you live. I attend the Annual Fishing Expo here in Madison WI. They also have a Deer and Turkey Hunting Expo coming up soon. I have been going to those for years.
I think they have alot ot offer (not just out of the pocket book either). There are many people that know what they are talking about and can give you some great insights.

In 2007 I was visiting my mom and dad who now Live on the Eastern Shore and had the chance to go to the Waterfowl Festival in Easton MD. was pretty good, lots of neat stuff huge trade show if you had $ to spend, artshows, antique/collectables displays, .calling seminars, dog seminars the whole town shuts down for it and it covers the whole town was very informative, and a lot of fun they even had a thing where for like a $5 donation(each) the kids could build a duck or goose call picking the colors of the acrylic and assembleing it then a Sean Mann pro-staffer showed them how to use it, fun for the whole family

There are big fly fishing and fly tying expos in Michigan every year. Also several outdoor and indoor hunting and fishing events throughout the year. These host outfitters, products, and conservation organizations. Cabela's, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain, Orvis, and local shops also hold events and seminars. One local flyshop gets fishermen together to try new spots throughout the summer and holds fly tying classes.

huntfish37 - I am in SE Michigan. Orvis in Royal Oak puts on classes (fee) - the store and fly fishing managers, Blair and Rich are great guys. Bass Pro in Auburn Hills gives free classes. Hank's in Clarkston gives classes - just stop in and there is probably someone tying that could give you a couple tips.

Great Lakes Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers (GLC FFF) has an large annual workshop at the MacMullen Center on Higgins Lake in June. Annual Midwest Fly Fishing Expo is every March in Roseville. Midwest Fly Tying Expo is every December in Mason. I am new to these myself but these are eyepopping events.

DU, QU, and local Gun shows. Not a lot of classes as such but you can always get pointers from the guys there.
