Has anybody else noticed that the threaded hole for attaching an arrow rest to your bow and the stabilizer hole are the same size with the same thread-pitch? Is there a reason for this other than convenience and easier manufacturing?

Years ago when tracks where laid by Rail Train Companies, no two companies can use the same rail tracks due to the width of the track and this created major problem with the trains trains. So they came together to standardize the width of the track so everyone can use the same rail as there are “SAE” standards for today’s nuts and bolts. You can interchange add-ons without having to obtain special size or the type and characteristic of attachment.
