Has anyone shot a Turkey with a Rage mechanical broadhead? I know they work great on deer but how are they on Turkeys?

The 3 blades did OK on a turkey this fall. I would not try the 2 blades. The kill zone for turkey is too small

I have a lot of under brush where I hunt and any small twig on those Rage broadheads were opening them up.

I missed a turkey low right one day and suspected the broadhead opened in mid flight. I went home and shot 3 different heads with a blade hanging out. Each head hit low right. I tucked the blades back in and they would hit bullseye almost everytime. Almost. If they missed they were low right. That's how I guess they open mid flight.

Del, I've been looking at new broadheads because my current one has gotten difficult to find. Reviews of the Rage 2 blade at Cabela's, Bass Pro, and a local website have been more consistently positive for turkey than deer. Seems to be love/hate with the Rage on deer. Also considering the G5 Tekan mechanical and the Steelforce Sabertooth HP fixed. Will try one of these during our fall turkey season, which overlaps with archery deer. I'd like to find one that is consistent with both deer and turkey.

            They should work just fine.

I have not, but they should work fine as long as you hit them in the right spot. Hope that it worked out well for you!!
