I am in the market for a new bow and I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the G5 Optix XR sight and the QAD Ultra-Rest Pro Series HD rest?

I have the QAD Ultra-rest hunter. Works great, fletching stays better after switching from a whisker biscuit to it.

I bought a G5 sight the year they came out and it is awsome. It is always plenty bright an adds almost nothing in weight to your bow. It is the best I have found but it is pricy.

I talked to my bow smith and he suggested the Ripcord over the QAD. He disassembled both rests and showed me the difference in the parts. The Ripcord uses all metal components compared to the plastic parts of the QAD…I will be going with the Ripcord

Try the Trophy Taker Extreme Full-Containment, $110, and the Tru-Glo True Sight Extreme $49.99.

I don't know about the G5 sight, but hear that QAD rests are great.
