    Thats funny because before I hunted, I would make small bows out of sticks and other things. My back porch was covered with bark and broken strings and sticks. Its probably not what you were talking about but I loved doing it and it introduced me into bowhunting.

      i made one once, it was pretty close to the real thing.

        My bishop at my church makes them. He usually uses back locust. His bows are awsome! He laminates them and everything. He also uses antler bases for knobs to adjust draw weight.

        He says that you have to let a piece of locust dry one year for every inch of thickness it has.
