i have hit trees and never shattered an arrow, if you do hit a tree with one, before you shoot it, flex it and make sure it dont have a crack in it.

I've never seen one shatter from a tree. I have seen one hit a tree and unscrew the broadhead. The arrow was on the ground and the broadhead was stuck in the tree.

carbor arrows generally do not shatter. But it could easily affect the arrow flight so be careful using it again.

No, the tree should be fine.

    (But the arrow is history)

Only the cheap ones. Do yourself a favor and buy great arrows that will last for awhile. They will pay for themself .

Most companies recomend inspecting the arrows after each shot for cracks or dings you can slightly bend the arrow shaft buy hand if you hear or see it spliting throw it out if not further inspect the shaft to make sure and your good to go also make sure the arrows are properly spined to match the weight and draw length of bow youe shooting and most importantly have fun and live the outdoor dream!

depends on where you hit it, how tall it is.

Depends on how it hits, strait, not a problem. at an angle, get a new one.

Buckhunter is right. I have hit a tree dead-on and my arrow was fine, but I hit the side of a huge chunk of ice once and my arrow broke into three pieces.

Depends on the angle of the arrow to the tree. A straight shot into a tree and the arrow should be fine. (check your noc) If you catch the edge of a tree it will bend your arrow and shatter it.

Not if you buy some good quality arrows. Just like most stuff, the more you pay the better the quality.

It depends on how hard the tree is. But the arrow should just stick in, unles their is a crack or anything break in the arrow, then it will most likely shatter. If there is a broadhead on it, the arrow will almost always just stick in the tree if its not too hard.
