ID:	728112 Lousy picture but I had to laugh a little this morning. Behind the strutting tom you can make out a second one that’s blocked by a tree. These two were following a group of 8-10 hens just off the road about 30 yards. They never spooked even with me just stopped there. Watching them all bunched up just seemed a bit ironic considering.Time marches on, it’s almost here.

Regular season May 1’st, but will be taking the girl out for youth weekend April 25-26. One bird that weekend so hopefully just the 25’th.

A couple of strutting toms and several hens down here means transition 2. Each transition lasts about 2 weeks.

I'll guess they can run 30mph and fly 55mph.

I'd like to know how far the average turkey walks in a days time?
Those things can cover some ground now.

I read a review of the TSS loads by Browning in the American Hunter. They range in price from $24 to $55.
                        The .410 3" are #9 shot, 13/16 OZ., 1100fps 275 pellets.

jimbo, I suppose it's not really something to "brag" about, but I finally found the Federal .410 TSS Turkey (#9) ammo at Cabela's in OKC.
It was $29.95 for a box of five, or nearly $6/ea!
So I can test a gun and still have ammo, I bought 2 boxes.
                          $63 for 10 rounds of .410 ammo!
For that price, they should kill the turkey, retrieve it and field dress it!! LOL!!
...and THAT'S the reason I don't like buying specialized turkey ammo!

You still evidently don't understand the why or what makes these shells more effective......no surprise there 😂
