Have shot turkey with expandable, fixed blade and cut-on-contact heads. Most of the turkey died of their wounds.
For unknown reasons, a couple shot with expandable heads got away.

Broadheads for turkey hunting? do you use the same you do for deer or get the turkey specific ones? good/bad experiences?

I use the same rage 2 blade expandables for deer and turkey. The only reason I would consider using a different broadhead is if I were aiming for the head just like a shotgun as well which I do not because
A)it is hard enough to shoot a turkey with a shotgun let alone with a bow
B)game killed with a bow is still edible at the wound

I use the same, I know where they will hit. Plus, the fall turkey season coincides with the deer season. I usually kill my turkey bow kills from a deer stand while deer hunting.
