what is your favorite duck call?

  • #2
I would have to say out of all the calls I own "which is alot" the one call I consistantly go back to is the cheaper Zink PH-2 that I picked up for $20.00, a close 2nd call would be Haydel's DR-85. Cheaper calls I know, but I have cheap calls and $100+ calls and "for me" these two work the best.

Here duckie, duckie, duckie. Doesn't work well except at the city park, but I'm not much of a duck hunter.

I have a pair of wooden Olt calls for ducks and geese that I purchased probably 20 years ago. Love the sounds they make - they're all I use.

            Hi...

Actually...my own vocal chords...!! When I was neatly concealed in my blind on a lake in the Northeast, there wasn't much in the way of ducks that I couldn't call in that way.

Unfortunately...about ten years ago I had a gall stone removed orthoscopically via my throat...and I could never reproduce that vocal call again...!!

I have a single reed Buck Gardner that I seem to do the best with. My favorite call was a old Faulks that I lost years ago, though I don't think I was very good with it then, I still miss that one.
