Just curious how many of you make your own turkey calls. I have been making mine for three years now. Each one sounds a little better.

I make wing bone yelpers with every wing I acquire. The best sounding is one I made from a hen wing. It's actually the first I made and have called several birds with it.
The first two Toms I called in I used a hand made box call the squeaked instead of yelped. Didn't matter, they came running. I'm going to start making some box calls. They're fun and relatively easy.
My "preferred call is a "peg & pot". I think you can buy kits to build them.
