    Synthetic, but I have one that is quite the opposite. It's a tom's middle finger resined stiff and glued into a wooden handle. His little claw actually sounds pretty good on certain calls.

        Like beekeeper I use both it gives a wider variety of sounds I can throw out and you never know for sure which tone is going to bring a bird in.

          I use a wood striker as of right now but may by a new one when I hit up bass pro.

            My synthetic gives a more broken raspier call on slate, so makes more realistic yelps and clucks. I like the wood striker on glass better.
