  • Near extinction of white rhino.

"One of the world's last two northern white rhinos, a mother and her daughter, is being retired from a breeding program aimed at saving the species from extinction."

The important word is "northern". The southern white rhino is expanding in both population and range. It's also thought that they are two distinct species that diverged a million years ago.

this is something they have been considering. The problem in that method though is that we would not have a White Rhino but a hybrid. So the species snaptube vidmate would still be extinct.
