      Danger or no danger, I would have had to change my shorts! 20 yards is nothing for a bear to cover, and if I only had a bow saw in my hands... yikes!

        We bait all the time without guns. Black bears need to be treated with respect and 20 yds is closer than you want to be but if the bear was aggressive your brother would know it by now.
        Incidents like to one if Fla. are dramatic exceptions to the rule.
