I just recently moved to Southern California from the Northeast. I am an avid deer and turkey hunter and would love to get into hunting hogs. I have no private land to hunt. Are there any specific public lands that you recommend in sunny SoCal for pig hunting?

I have never hunted in California or never even been there. Sorry I just looked like all over google, and couldnt find anything.

I would contact the California fish and game they will let you know where a good spot is to put some pork in the freezer,in some areas they are a pain in the ass and some landowners will let you on there place just to get rid of a few. Hope this helps ya out.

          TPaul44,
When you say "southern California", at least six counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego) come to mind. Could you narrow that down a bit?

I agree with a lot in this article. My comment is, make a good first shot and the importance of a second shot declines.
