OK, I posted the question before of "what is your favorite big game animal to hunt?" Majority said Whitetail, second was elk. So now, so what's harder to harvest; a mature BUCK or BULL?

well i would have to say its wether ur hunting on private or public land. Fair chase is very difficult when hunting either species especially whitetail because you have to find there feeding pattern and there bedding areas and also signs of mature bucks in the area by setting up trail cameras or even scrapes and sign left my mature bucks. once u know there in the area it all comes down to a waiting game and the perfect shot oppertunity to harvest that mature whitetail of your life.

If its far chase I would say an elk, elk are hard to pattern and they migrate heavily, if you where after one specific elk, I think your chances of harvesting that elk would be very low. Take into account the elevation, terrian and whether. Not to mention that big bull hang out in dark timber thats very hard to move through and harder to shoot in.
