i did the same thing i got a 20 gauge remington 870 express for trap, bird hunting and an getting a slug barrel for it shortly. i would recomend getting a 12 gauge if i were you. ammos cheaper (not by much) its easier to find accessories and the kinds of loads that you want, but if a 20 is what you want go with the 870 express

I own a BPS and for a lefty you couldn't ask for a better gun, fully ambidexterus, bottom load and eject, top tang safety and a solid gun that you will be proud to pull out 10 20 30 years from now. It is more expensive but will fit a lefty and isn't what everybody else has.

i just sold a mossberg 535 combo, it is the only thing i will use. it is much better than a remington 870.

Remington 870 its the most dependable gun out there with a combo barrel.
