i did the same thing i got a 20 gauge remington 870 express for trap, bird hunting and an getting a slug barrel for it shortly. i would recomend getting a 12 gauge if i were you. ammos cheaper (not by much) its easier to find accessories and the kinds of loads that you want, but if a 20 is what you want go with the 870 express
