Anybody have any experience with the mossberg 930?

  • #2
Well diplomat, unfortunately there is not many (some, but not many) Mossberg fans on here. I don't own a 930, but from what I have heard they are great guns that run well and are reliable, good looking and nice handling.
I have thought about getting one myself, but then decided against a new gun at all.
    Hope this helps!

BTW nice pheasants in your picture, too bad we don't have them in the south, we've only quail, not exactly the same!

ive handled the gun and i thought it felt really good. the action was smooth and i have read some good reviews. obv its not on the level of benelli or beretta but for its price i thoughtit was very good.

thanks for the pheasant props. that was actually at a preserve i went to. we have a good pheasant release program in ny. there isnt really a wild pheasant population in ny, minus the finger lake region which has some wild ones.

Yeah I don't think Benelli could make a shotgun of that quality for that price.
Our wild quail population is dwindling too, there are preservationists who do their best to maintain pop. of quail and allow hunting, but I don't know how much longer wild quail will be around before pop. will have to be supplemented with farm raised.

Good article on pressure testing. It takes about 40 hours to test for one caliber and bullet weight with about 16 types of powder.
