I'm going to buy a Browning .30-06 rifle. I have looked at the A-Bolt and I like it a lot. What is the difference between the A-bolt and the X-Bolt?

the x bolt has a crisper cleaner trigger and better recoil system.

It is a more CNC friendly friendly rifle to produce. New trigger system and new scope mounting system, a little lighter in weight.

          As those above mentioned,
          1. It has a better trigger
          2. Better recoil system
          3. New scope mounting system, shaped like an X hence its name
          4. Detachable, plastic magazine.
          5. The stock is not classic American, looks more like what is on Sako and Tikka rifles.

Browning claims this gun is an upgrade from the A-bolt. If it is it will be a fantastic gun.

Also the magazine is a rotary feed. I purchased a X-bolt medallion in a 270. It has a very smooth action and a trigger that has almost zero creep or play. very enjoyable to shoot.

The bolt is smaller in (x-bolt) diameter and the 3 lugs are configured differently between the 2... Offhand-either 1 is a winner but the x-bolt is supposed to be improved!!!
