I would have to go with my Rem. 700 bdl in 7mm mag. It's topped w/ a Leupold 3-9 x 40. I can hunt anything in North America w/ it.

IMO, my Remington 700 BDL 30.06 is the one rifle I would keep if told I had to limit my choices. Can't give you the reasons except that it works for me.

I would choose a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 chambered in 30-06. Can take down a moose and therefore everything smaller too.
