A 4,000,000 serial number is very new. I have a 3 million and it is '70's.
My 2 million is 1956.
How did you measure the barrel ? The proper way is to put a small dowel in the barrel as far as it will go and mark the dowel at the end of the barrel by the front sight. Take it out and measure the distance from the dowel end to your mark. If in fact 11.25" it is too short and illegal. Don't use it . Talk to a gun smith about another barrel installed, otherwise it can't be used or owned.

Your 1894 Winchester Sn# 4,501,021....30/30 with a cut down Bbl 11.1/4" was made with a 20"Bbl back in 1977, Not in 1907-8 (43,8985) Send a Pix of front of Bbl with sight & hood. Some Winchester Mod 92s & 94s were factory cut to 14"-16"-18"Bbl back in 1900s most were sold to trappers in Yukon & Canada.
Value depends on how it shoots and who wants a 11.1/4Bbl??

You may not have measured the barrel length correctly.
