Doesn't surprise me. Seems T/C has been very strong with new products, and others have been cheaper. Still a huge disappointment, though.
Actually, I was more disappointed when Austin & Halleck closed their doors. But all they had was an excellent "old-fashioned" heavy bolt gun and traditionals. Just not making what most people want and are willing to pay for, especially in this market.

Knight Black powder rifles is out of business doesn’t surprise me a bet!
My next MZ is going to be a Savage!
TC is another one with their head in there armpit! I called them if they had plans for a 223 barrel in a 1-9 twist and smokeless 50 cal MZ. Now way the fella replied!
TC is stuck on stupid!

I've had less than desirable experiences with knight products. Sad to see folks loose their jobs but there are cheaper and better products out there.
The thing with muzzeloaders is that you really on need one rifle and maybe one shotgun. Once you have them you really don't need to acquire another one; unlike rifles and shotguns you have many actions, calibers, guages, etc. to choose from.

Jay - I have a very accurate A&H bolt ML and a percussion long rifle, both in .50 cal. The long rifle twist limits me to balls. I would love to get a shorter traditional plains-type .50 caliber that shoots conicals. Wouldn't mind getting a .32 caliber long rifle flintlock for small game, too. Lots of options for the traditionals - even large caliber double rifles. I would use them all. With modern, however, if I were to get a new T/C Triumph I might put my bolt ML away ... if only because the Triumph is so darn easy to clean.
