Has anyone else on here bought a "knock around" or bargain gun to fill in for a nice gun only to find you like the cheaper one better? I have found myself carrying a cheap single shot 20 gauge New England Arms shotgun more than my nicer guns and live the handiness of it. Same for rifles I have found that the lesser expensive ones seem to be the ones I keep going back to like my Ruger American Rifle which gets carried more than my M77.

Funny you should say this. I was just talking to my buddy about an old Mossburg 500 that has the you stock on it is chambered in 20ga and is painted military camo. I love the gun but its ugly. It is so dependable and I can take it anywhere. I have never removed the youth stock (i got the gun when I was young) because I love how quickly you can shoulder it with the few inches shaved off the back. It dosnt catch on your coat like a longer one could.
