Certainly. The main hazard in using reloaded ammo is exceeding SAAMI pressure specifications, which often occurs in throwing a double charge.
Black Hills brand factory ammo is reloaded, but is said to be "remanufactured," using once-fired brass, and is as safe as any major factory new ammo.
I would not use any ammo reloaded by well-meaning friends or relatives.
Another hazard that comes to mind in using your own reloads would be criminal prosecution in a justifiable self-defense shooting. If prosecuted, you could be made to appear as a Rambo-type for whom ordinary factory ammo is not destructive enough.

The data listed in relaoding manuals is disigned to work in all guns of a given caliber. Start at the lightest powder charge and work your way up from there. Calibers for semi auto pistols headspace on the case mouth so it is imperative that all your cases be exactly the same. The lc9 is a very good quality handgun and is very reliable. as for the hi-point wellllll you get what you pay for
