Just picked up a Remington 788 .222 for the perfect price, FREE! It needs a clip. I just called a local shop and they said $40 for the clip?! Seems a little steep. Anyone know of a good site I could get one from?

      Here's three places.
      Numrich Arms
      Dixie Gunworks
      Nu-Line Guns
      Shotgun News
      Okay! Four places!

      As for cheaper? Good question!

35-45 is what i have seen so spend the extra bucks locally. this way the money is staying in the area (i know the 5 bucks is not a lot but it all adds up) and you have a place to call if something goes wrong.

A friend has a 788 in .308 and he lost his and had to pay that much for a factory replacement.

It's difficult to justify a price like that. You may want to try Gun Parts Corporation in West Hurley, NY. They've been a good resource for me.

I just checked gunbroker.com, and there is only one source listed for a .222 magazine.
They have 75 of them in stock and are asking $40.10 plus shipping.

Thanks 99! I've actually never had to buy a clip before so wasn't sure on prices. $40 seemed a little pricy but if that's the price that's the price. Thanks guys!

Brag about your trip deuce 788, and don't mention the magazine. (NOT A CLIP!!!) For what you gave for the 788, you can afford the magazine.

Like most everyone else, I buy a scope to feel a need. Only a few times have I taken advantage of a sale.

On 7/19, Milldawg mentioned he'd ordered a laser sight for his wife's Ruger LCP 380 and they were on sale at MidwayUSA. Well, that inspired me to order...

Good question. The old style Ruger LC9 has a very long trigger pull that's similar to that of a double action only revolver. I think it would be unlikely...
