The family of the original owner of a Sweet sixteen were selling it last weekend. It was purchased in 1955. I gave it a cursory look and estimated it in 95+ condition - only thing I found was very light rust on loading gate. It would have easily been removed. Stock was in almost perfect condition. The only thing I was not sure of, it had a poly choke and I was not sure if this was a factory option or not and if it would deter from the value of the gun. The asking was $575, but I believe a $525 offer would have bought it. Should I have pulled the trigger on the deal? What would you estimate the value to be??
