My Uncle gave me a box of 30.06 shells that were 55 grain, I used them for varmints, but I haven't seen any in the stores. Where could I find them?

What you have are called "accelerators", saboted .22 bullets. They were sold back around the '70's and 80's but I believe were banned because due to the sabots they could not be traced to the rifle. As you could imagine they are very very fast, although not really as accurate as say a 22-250. I do believe I heard someone say a while back that they were (back?) on the market. I also would be interested to know if anyone else has any information about them.
